Mission and Vision

Our Mission


is to improve lives by empowering people with access to life’s essential needs -safe water and sanitation. We accomplish our mission by partnering with underserved communities, providing the communities with the tools and education to establish sustainable safe water, hygiene, and sanitation programs.

Short-term Strategy

Our value proposition and strategy for the 3,000 vulnerable households is as follows:

In the year 2021 we intend to support at least 3,000 vulnerable households and 12,000 vulnerable children with access to water and other essential services.

  1. Establish the presence of a community-based structure to which these households belong to or can join
  2. Engage the leaders of the community-based organizations, volunteers, partners, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water, Department of Children Services and government agencies in responding to the needs of the households.
  3. Identify and provide water access solutions where applicable i) support county governments in piping water to the vulnerable households ii) support water storage and harvesting solutions including storage tank iii) support borehole solutions for structured community groups
  4. Provide at least 1,000 girls with 1-year supply of dignity packs that include sanitary pads, soap and underwear.
  5. Provide access to age-appropriate secondary and post-secondary education for older orphans and vulnerable children as needed.
  6. Train and support 200 Women, Girls and Boys in income from the sale of the self-made items. We intend to train them in production of high quality goods and/services and link them to appropriate markets.

 

Mid-term Strategy

In the year 2021-2025 we intend to support at least 10,000 vulnerable households and 48,000 vulnerable children with access to water and other essential services.

  1. Establish the presence of a community-based structures in 6 counties to which 10,000 households belong to or can join.
  2. Engage the leaders of the community-based organizations, volunteers, partners, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water, Department of Children Services and government agencies in responding to the needs of the households.
  3. Identify and provide water access solutions where applicable i) support county governments in piping water to the vulnerable households ii) support water storage and harvesting solutions including storage tank iii) support borehole solutions for structured community groups
  1. Provide at least 5,000 girls with 1-year supply of dignity packs that include sanitary pads, soap and underwear.
  2. Provide access to age-appropriate secondary and post-secondary education for older orphans and vulnerable children as needed.

  4. Graduate 200 households to self-reliance.
  5. Engage 180 women who have moved to self-reliance to train other households in economic empowerment.

 

Long-term Strategy

  1. Engage partners, community structures, volunteers in appropriate government agencies in provision of long-term solutions for families of vulnerable households.
  2. Establish community Centres of excellence in 6 counties to respond to a wide-range of vulnerable household needs
  3. Graduate 6,000 households from vulnerable situations to self-reliance.
